Terms of sale

  • We only sell our products via resellers.
  • All prices are always stated exclusive of VAT and shipping costs.
  • We accept no responsibility or liability for any errors on the website or in catalogues.
  • We reserve the right to make changes to prices and/or terms and conditions during the period of validity of the website and catalogues.
  • Standard delivery terms: Sweden - Ex Works from our warehouse in Gothenburg; Norway - Ex Works from the terminal in Oslo; Finland - Ex Works from the terminal in Vantaa.
  • In order to reduce the number of small shipments, orders for less than GBP 250 will be subject to an environmental surcharge of GBP 50.
  • We accept no responsibility or liability for products that are sold out or out of stock.

 

Orders requiring splitting of cartons 

To avoid potential product damage, simplify the handling of goods and ensure an efficient handling process at our warehouse, MerxTeam advocates and the ordering of whole cartons. Orders for smaller quantities requiring splitting of cartons will be subject to a surcharge of 10%. Glassware and porcelain must always be ordered in whole cartons.

Surcharge on returns of electrical goods

Returns of electrical and battery-operated goods are subject to a statutory surcharge.

Backorders

MerxTeam does not administer backorders. A new order must be placed for goods that are not in stock.

Returns

  • The right of return is valid for one month from the invoice date.
  • A written return request must be sent to MerxTeam with details of the reason for the return and the invoice number. If the return is approved, MerxTeam will provide a return consignment note that must be attached to the return shipment. 
  • Only whole cartons can be returned.
  • Goods must be returned in their original packaging and must be resalable.
  • If the return is due to an incorrect order by the customer, only 80% of the total value of the returned goods will be credited. It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange and pay for the return shipment to MerxTeam.
  • MerxTeam will pay the shipping cost if the return is due to an error on the part of MerxTeam.
  • The right of return does not apply to our range of furniture products.

 

Complaints 

Delivery inspection / Transport damage

  • Check that the number of cartons stated on the delivery note is in agreement with the number of cartons actually delivered. 
  • If not, this discrepancy must be reported to the driver on site.
  • Upon receipt of the delivery, any visible damage or defects must be reported to the driver 
  • and must also be noted on the delivery note.
  • In order for a complaint to be valid, any damage detected at the time of delivery or when unpacking the goods must be reported to MerxTeam within seven days of receipt of the goods.

Complaints regarding goods 

  • Complaints must be submitted in writing to MerxTeam with a description of the reason for the complaint, attached images and the invoice number.
  • If the complaint relates to an item of machinery, it may be necessary for the product to be sent to our service partner for troubleshooting. If the fault is due to improper handling, we will contact you with a cost proposal regarding repairs. 
  • If it turns out that the fault is due to improper handling on the part of the customer, the cost of troubleshooting and shipping will be charged to the customer.
  • Complaints must be received by MerxTeam within a reasonable period of time (max. 1 month) following discovery of the fault.
  • In order to be valid, a complaint must be submitted within two years of the delivery date.

 

Procedures for collection of orders from MerxTeam’s warehouse in Gothenburg 

  • Placed orders can be picked up the next weekday at the earliest.
  • When the order is ready for collection, a confirmation email is sent from us.
  • State the order number when you come to our warehouse.
  • Collection takes place at Stenkolsgatan 8, 417 07 Gothenburg
    Monday – Friday 08.00-12.00 and 13.00-14.30
  • Furniture orders can be picked up at Manufakturgatan 5, 417 07 Gothenburg
    Appointment booking for collection 031-50 67 00
  • Orders must be picked up within 3 working days after you receive a confirmation email that the order is ready.
  • In case of non-collection, the order is stored back in stock and 80% of the invoice is credited.
  • Our warehouse door is locked. Ring the bell and we'll open.
